In the jagged mountains just outside of San Sebastian on the southern part of Isabela, in the north west region of Puerto Rico lies the small institute of Amanecer.
Amanecer operates a bakery, health food store, vegetarian restaurant, and a farm. The restaurant serves an average of 60 to 65 customers per day. Organic produce from their farm is sold in the store and the community.
Cooking classes, along with canning, freezing and drying techniques are demonstrated at the local public schools, government agencies, SDA academies, churches, and private homes.
Since their main emphasis is on evangelism through health, they offer weekly health seminars throughout the Island. Bible studies five days a week, Revelation seminars in the local churches, and English classes are provided for those who are interested.
Doors of opportunity open up through two weekly radio broadcasts, one from our local radio station on prophecy and the other from the local SDA station on health.
People with special health problems are invited to Amanecer where information on diet and treatments are tailored to meet their individual needs.
