Congo Frontline Missions is dedicated to bringing the message of hope and salvation to the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo. The team is doing so through preaching, teaching, and medical missionary work.
CFM was born out of an invitation from the Congolese church leaders for Keith Mosier to help with the work in Congo. During the last 10 years, more than 5 million people have died from war, starvation, and disease. Now that political stability is returning, CFM is among the first mission organizations to return to the Congo River Basin since the war.
Transportation in this dense jungle area is a major challenge. Many areas can only be accessed by air, boat, or foot. This lack of good transportation makes it difficult and expensive to bring anything into the area. But CFM is moving forward. Their goal is to train and equip lay people in their new training school. These students will go into the vast unentered jungle of the Congo River basin, where they will spread the gospel as evangelists and medical missionaries. The team plans to open a medical mission launch to serve the lower Congo River and its tributaries.
CFM is also working to start an FM radio station that will reach the 1 million people in the city of Kisangani. In addition, by printing books and tracts in the local languages, truth will be scattered throughout the Congo River basin to its 14 million inhabitants.
While the many challenges the team faces often seem insurmountable, their faith remains strong as they serve a God who has never lost a battle. CFM workers are soliciting prayers as they move forward for God in the troubled nation of Congo.
