Centrul de Pregatire Misionara

Education is the watchword of Seventh-day Adventist missionary work around the world. Many Christians see their need of personal mission service and long to know how to do this great work efficiently. This is the reason the Centrul de Pregatire Misionara Romania (CPMR) exists. Modeled after the proven methods at the Mission College of Evangelism in Oregon, CPMR students receive the training and tools they need to confidently work in the Lord’s vineyard and to win souls for Him. The goal is to give students the spiritual strength and discipline, the firm foundation of truth, the various evangelistic tools, and the broad experience that is necessary to confidently and successfully lead souls to Christ. Practical, experiential training in evangelism and personal soul-winning and service is the cornerstone of their intensive four-month course. This comprehensive course is designed to train and equip ambassadors and evangelists for Jesus Christ. Although they also offer specializations in media, health, and aviation, evangelism is the central focus of this institute.

Each week students spend time doing outreach— learning how to meet people, sharing the love of Christ, giving Bible studies to those hungering for the Bread from Heaven, and ultimately leading many to make lasting decisions for Jesus Christ. Through its training, CPMR emphasizes the three foundational pillars of the Christian’s sanctification experience—daily Bible study, prayer, and personal witnessing. They also offer intensive courses in many key subjects to strengthen the students’ faith and improve their witness.

The prayer of each staff member is that all of the students will leave CPMR with a stronger faith, a broad base of knowledge, and a wealth of personal experience that will prepare them to work in any mission field. And since their doors opened in 2006, the team has rejoiced to hear powerful stories of how God is using many of their graduates to spread the gospel far and near.
