Jharkand State, India - In Jharkhand State, India, more than 90 percent of babies are born in mud homes and most village midwifes are untrained in sanitation and acceptable practices. Every five minutes a woman dies in the gestational process. This November, Lois Dull at Living Springs Overseas Missions has started a new outreach in midwifery training. Her students will spend an intensive year in birthing ministry to villages in Jharkhand State.
